WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR?
- Select a voice that sounds like the voice of your business – i.e. corporate, down-to-earth, young and cool, mature and authoritative. The sound of your business should reflect your company ethos and image.
- Select a voice that is pleasing to listen to – it is bad enough being put on hold without having to listen to an unpleasant voice as well.
- Select a voice that is understanding – i.e. acknowledging that the caller’s time is valuable without being obsequious (over the top).
HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST?
The cost of on hold voice talent varies depending on the volume and the type of recording (IVR menu prompts cost $20 per line). These rates are for cold voicing only (no production).
